Pre-/Co-requisites
Students must be 16 years or older. Students under 16 years must provide written permission to attend the course from their parent or guardian. HLTFA301B - Provide First Aid (CPR component must have been updated within last 12 months).

Course Information
Assessment of the situation and recognition of a casualty who is unconscious, non-breathing with no other signs of circulation
Provision of cardiopulmonary resuscitation as required
Operation of the automated external defibrillator
Assessment and obtaining emergency services or medical assistance
Communicate the details of the incident

Vital Response conducts progressive assessment throughout the course including practical demonstrations, multiple choice and short answer questionnaires.
